Restrict Mobile App Usage on Instance

This article details how to restrict usage of the Metric Insights mobile app on a given instance for all Users or for specific Groups. For this, it is required to create and configure a Custom App with the message you want to display to Users upon their attempt to access the mobile app. Follow the instructions below.

1. Create New App

Access Content > Apps

  1. [+New App]
  2. Name: input a descriptive phrase.
  3. [Save]

2. Configure App

  1. Optimized for mobile: must be enabled.
  2. Display without Metric Insights navigation bar: must be enabled.

3. Add Code

Under Code, add the code for your custom mobile app page. You can develop a page according to your needs. This content will display once users without access try to use the mobile application.

4. Restrict Access

  1. Under Sharing, [+Add Group]
  2. Share With Group: Add "Default" to limit access for all Users or select specific Groups of Users you want to limit mobile access for.
  3. Start Page for Mobile: must be enabled.
  4. [Save]
