Command Menu Overview
Metric Insights menu system is rather extensive and can be confusing at times. Command Menu is a tool that helps Users navigate the menu system and conveniently search for Objects and menu entries, rather than Elements (Metrics and Reports).
NOTE: Command Menu is available for Power Users and Administrators only.
Opening and Navigating Command Menu
To open Command Menu press Ctrl+K on Windows/Linux or Cmnd+K on Mac. Command Menu supports navigation via mouse or keyboard keys (Up, Down, Right, Left Arrows, Enter and Backspace).
- Search bar: Type the menu entry or Object title in the field to open a shortcut to it.
- Recent Objects: This list shows Objects, Editors and Viewers that the User recently visited. For more detailed list of possible options, check Objects Shown in "Recent Objects" Section.
- When hovering over the option or selecting it via keyboard, the buttons to redirect the User to the Object's Viewer ([View]) or Editor ([Edit]) appear.
- Create New: This section is identical to the +New menu. By clicking the option, User can quickly start creating an Element. Power Users will have access only to those Element creation options they have Privileges and Permission to.
